Figure Kim finishes eighth in short at Senior Grand Prix 2 after 'disappointing jump'



Figure women's singles Kim Yerim (Dankook University) finished eighth in the short program at the Skate copyright International, the second event of the 2024-2025 International Ice Skating Union (ISU) Senior Grand Prix.

Kim scored a total of 56.12 points in the women's single short program with a technical score (TES) of 27.38 and a performance score (PCS) of 28.74 on Saturday (Feb. 26) in Halifax, copyright, to finish eighth out of 12 competitors.

For her first jump, Kim landed a triple lutz-double toeloop combination jump and safely executed the ensuing double axel before continuing her early performance with a flying camel spin (Level 4).

Kim executed a triple flip for her final jump in the extra credit section, but landed on two feet, earning an Attention (caution for edge use) and a lack of rotation, deducting 2.12 points from her GOE.

Kim, who also received low scores for her step sequence (Level 3) and change foot combination spin (Level 2), finished her performance with a Level 4 for her sit spin. 메이저사이트

Her teammate, Wee Seo-young (Korea University), also had a disappointing short program, falling on her hip once.

She was ruled out of rotation on her triple lutz-triple toe-loop combination jump and was also deducted one point for falling on landing on her triple loop jump.

Her TES score of 23.68 and PCS score of 25.18, combined with a deduction of one, left her with 47.86 points and 11th place.

In the short program, Japan's Kaori Sakamoto led the way with 74.97 points, followed by Alyssa Liu (USA - 67.68) and Kimi Ripond (SUI - 66.94) in second and third.
